Vintage Report 2022: The Tale of Two Harvests

Many consider the 2022 vintage in Oakville to be a tale of two harvests. The harvest began early in August with white varieties and quickly moved to red varieties. Growers faced a challenging climate with a heatwave in September followed by unexpected rain, which momentarily halted harvest. Despite these challenges, the mild weather post-rain allowed grapes to achieve perfect ripeness.
