A harmonious integration of decadent fruit, refined structure, and exotic spice components. In the glass, the wine possesses a dark plum-purple hue. Intriguing aromatic notes of Mexican chocolate, nutmeg, brambly fruit, spearmint, and violets swell from the glass in concert. Upon entry, the mouthfeel is voluptuous, sleek, and inviting, while also exhibiting a silky tannin profile to provide a complex framework. Rich palate notes suggest black currant, blackberry reduction, leather, crushed rock, and allspice. This wine is very enjoyable and showing well today, but with 3-5 years in the cellar it will develop into an even more beautiful expression of the vintage.

Sourced from the same famed vineyards as its beloved inspiration Schrader Cellars, Double Diamond is sourced exclusively from a complement of prime vineyard estates in Napa Valley’s world-renowned Oakville AVA, including our To Kalon Vineyard®.
It has a classic Cabernet nose of black and blue fruits, green tobacco, cedar pencil, damp earth, and chocolate...beautiful varietal character as well as medium to full body, ripe yet present tannins, good overall freshness, and a great finish.

An elegant, fruit-driven cabernet sauvigon with notes of red fruit and spices. Fresh herbs, such as thyme. It's full bodied and well balanced. The texture is pleasant and smooth with elegant tannins. The finish is long and flavorful. Drink or hold.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Double Diamond is a new label, made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in French oak, 50% new, for 16 months. Around 80% of the fruit was sourced from To Kalon vineyard. It is deep garnet-purple in color, springing from the glass with notes of crushed black cherries, warm cassis, wild blueberries and chocolate mint, plus a waft of dusty soil. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with juicy black fruits, framed by plush tannins and a lively backbone, finishing long and spicy. 9,000 cases were made.

This has a rounded, fleshy feel to the mix of creamed plum and cassis flavors. Light flashes of sassafras and loam provide that Oakville hint, while the fruit holds sway overall.
